Typical sample from Gabbro 1, which is characterized by two domains that are present to varying extents throughout: clinopyroxene oikocrysts with small plagioclase chadacrysts form subophitic "dark domains" that appear as subspherical dark patches in hand specimen and coarser grained "network domains" between oikocrysts that are characterized by coarser grain size, zoned prismatic plagioclase, and abundant oxides.
