Figure F33. Whole round of contact between Unit 1256D-90a (basalt dike) and Unit 1256D-91 (gabbro margin). The pink color of the contact-metamorphosed basalt is caused by orthopyroxene. This basalt is invaded and pieces detached by the intruding gabbronorite of uppermost Gabbro 2 in Piece 5, 15–24 cm (Sample 312-1256D-230R-1, 15–34 cm).
