All samples are from the Miocene (submound) part of the section. Note that carbonate is dominant over detrital quartz in all cases but C. Sediments in the Porcupine Basin cores range from dominantly siliciclastic to dominantly carbonate on a meter scale. Qtz = quartz, Cal = calcite, Dol = dolomite.
