The near-linear increase in annular pressure whole drilling (APWD) is interpreted as stable borehole conditions without shallow-water flow problems. Variations in annular overpressure in excess of hydrostatic (APWD*) and equivalent circulating density referenced to seafloor (ECDrsf) at 470–608 mbsf are due to continuous circulation of 10 ppg mud (seawater, sepiolite, and barite).
