Figure F237. Contact of Unit 1256D-90a (basalt dike) with Unit 1256D-91 (gabbro margin) (interval 312-1256D-230R-1, 15–33 cm). The pink color of the contact-metamorphosed basalt is caused by the presence of orthopyroxene. This basalt is clearly cut by the gabbro in Piece 5, 15–24 cm.
