Figure F18. Core photograph of alternating laminated and bioturbated horizons that characterize Unit VI (Taenidium at 80 cm) (interval 313-M0028A-166R-2, 77–108 cm). Interlaminated clay and silt includes normally graded very fine sand rich in terrestrial organic matter and mica, interpreted as having been deposited in an offshore or prodeltaic environment. Small carbonate concretions are present at 82, 84, and 91 cm.
