The clayey limestone contains soft-sediment deformation features, and sediment fills some vesicles and voids in the basalt crust. The inspection of the basalt clast margin reveals broken plagioclase grains and vesicles; it lacks a chilled margin, indicating it was brittle (i.e., not molten) when it mixed with the wet sediment.
