Estimated in situ effective stress was computed using bulk density values from the sites and assuming hydrostatic pore pressures. The testing effective stress was computed as the confining pressure minus the average of the pressures measured at the top and bottom pump. k = hydraulic conductivity, SD = standard deviation. NT = not tested.
