Figure F35. Chlorite-prehnite overprinting in a chlorite vein halo in Unit III troctolite (Sample 345-U1415P-19G-1, 50–58 cm, [Piece 8]. Typical background alteration includes serpentinization of olivine and alteration of plagioclase to prehnite. In the vein halo, plagioclase is completely pseudomorphically replaced by prehnite, and olivine is intensely altered to chlorite and clay minerals.
