The 95% confidence ellipses associated with the maximum, intermediate, and minimum eigenvectors are all <3.5°. A. Orientation of magnetic fabrics in Unit II are generally consistent with observed magmatic foliations in these core sections. B. A wider range of AMS fabric orientations is evident from samples below ~64 mbsf. C. Shape factor vs. corrected anisotropy degree shows oblate, triaxial, and prolate AMS ellipsoid shapes are all observed.
