Figure F3. Section of 3.5 kHz high-resolution subbottom profiler data along Line PGC9902_ODP-7. The data show a thin, ~3–5 m thick transparent layer of sediments on top of high-reflectivity material without any further internal layering. Near the intersection point with multichannel seismic Line PGC9902_CAS02a, a small blank zone can be identified that may be linked to the bright spot observed in the lower frequency seismic data of Line 89-08.
