Major lithologic units at both sites correlate with carbonate content and similar depth trends in carbonate content. A distinctly low carbonate (clay-rich) interval at ~430 mbsf at Site 1119 corresponds to a similar low-carbonate interval at ~620 mbsf at Site U1352.
