The gamma ray attenuation (GRA) bulk density profile over the same interval is also shown, as bulk density in equatorial Pacific sediment is strongly correlated to carbonate content. All three data sets exhibit the same high-frequency variation, suggesting that the noise in the XRF estimate is small.
