Schedule for Expedition 341S

Operations during Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) Expedition 341S are dedicated to the first installation of the Simple Cabled Instrument for Measuring Parameters In situ (SCIMPI) in a subseafloor borehole and to the replacement of the CORK in Hole 858G in the Middle Valley rift of the northernmost Juan de Fuca Ridge. The expedition is scheduled for the research vessel JOIDES Resolution, operating under contract with the U.S. Implementing Organization (USIO). At the time of publication of this Scientific Prospectus, the expedition is scheduled to start in Victoria, Canada, on 20 May 2013 and to end in Victoria, Canada, on 29 May 2013. A total of 9 days are available for the operations required for installing the SCIMPI and CORK replacement as described in this report (for the current detailed schedule, see iodp.tamu.edu/scienceops/).
