Transect HYD-01C¹

Expedition 325 Scientists²

Introduction

During Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) Expedition 325, cores were recovered from 11 holes (6 sites) at Hydrographer’s Passage, comprising transect HYD-01C (Holes M0030A–M0039A) (Fig. F1), with an average transect recovery of 27.05% of the drilled length. Water depths ranged from 51.0 to 122.29 m (lowest astronomical tide) and were taken from tidally corrected EM300 multibeam bathymetry data. Existing data sets were evaluated prior to arrival at each site, and drilling targets and their respective coordinates were chosen from within the agreed area approved by the IODP Environmental Protection and Safety Panel.
