Schedule for Expedition 346

Expedition 346 is based on Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) drilling Proposal 605-Full2-Addendum 3 (iodp.tamu.edu/scienceops/expeditions/asian_monsoon.html). Following ranking by the IODP Scientific Advisory Structure, the expedition was scheduled for the R/V JOIDES Resolution, operating under contract with the U.S. Implementing Organization (USIO).

At the time of publication of this Scientific Prospectus, the expedition is scheduled to start in Valdez, Alaska (USA), on 29 July 2013 and to end in Busan, Korea, on 28 September. A total of 60 days (61 calendar days due to the crossing of the International Date Line) will be available for the transit, drilling, coring, and downhole measurements described in this report (for the current detailed schedule, see iodp.tamu.edu/scienceops/).
