doi:10.2204/iodp.sp.342.2011 Schedule for Expedition 342Expedition 342 is based on Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) drilling Proposal 661-Full2 (available at iodp.tamu.edu/scienceops/expeditions/newfoundland_sediment_drifts.html). Following ranking by the IODP Scientific Advisory Structure, the expedition was scheduled for the R/V JOIDES Resolution, operating under contract with the U.S. Implementing Organization. At the time of publication of this Scientific Prospectus, the expedition is scheduled to start in St. George, Bermuda, on 18 June 2012 and to end in St. John’s, Newfoundland, on 17 August 2012. A total of 60 days will be available for the drilling, coring, downhole measurements, and tool testing described in this report (for the current detailed schedule, see iodp.tamu.edu/scienceops/).
